The Holy Monday Procession stands out among the most important acts of the Royal Brotherhood. Within the Good Friday morning events of the Stations of the Cross (Via Crucis) of the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, the titular sculpture takes part in two significant events: on the one hand, the “Encounter of Jesus with his Mother”, consisting of the facing of the throne of the Brotherhood with the throne of Our Lady of Sorrows of the Grenadiers from the Church of Our Lady of the Angels, as a farewell to the passage of Jesus from life to death; on the other hand, the so-called “Float of the Veronica”, where the moment in which Veronica cleanses the face of the Lord is staged and his face is imprinted in the cloth. Since 1986, this Royal Brotherhood carries out on Easter Sunday the so-called “Resurrection Meeting” between the sculpture of the Risen Christ and Our Lady of Sorrows, the main sculpture of the Corporation of Grenadiers of the Church of Our Lady of the Angels.
